Tasting notes: obtained from selected Negroamaro grapes, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, ruby red with violet tones, intense nose of ripe red berry fruits with a hint of vanilla and toasted notes. It is a dry, warm and velvety. Pairs perfectly with complex dishes, roasted meats, poultry and game recipes and strong cheeses.

Soil Type: Volcanic
Alcoholic Fermentation: Selected grapes, leaving there juice in contact with the skins for 6/20 hours at low temperature. Fermented at controlled temperature and aged 4 months in stainless steel and 3 months in bottle.
Colour: Seductive pink colour.
Bouquet: Fruity bouquet with peach, cherry, strawberry and apricot. Dry to the palate, a warm after-taste and a long and pleasant finish.
Alcoholic Strength: 14.5% by volume.
Serving Suggestions: It pairs well with hors d'oeuvre, fish soups and cod.

Serving temperature: 16 – 18 °C
Tasting notes: ruby red colour, rich and spiced in its bouquet with a mellow, full, aromatic and right tannic taste. Excellent with roast and game.
Appellation: Aglianico del Vulture DOC
Location: Situated on the Titolo lava channel at 650 meters of Altitude
Vineyards: Located within the commune of Barile, at the heart of the Aglianico production zone.
Soil Type: Volcanic lava and ash mix, known locally as "pozzolana".
Size of Estate: 7 Ha (17,3 acreas).
Area planted to vine: 6 Ha (14,8 acres).
Vine Trellising Methods: Multiple parcels utilizing the Short Guyot and "Capanno" methods.
Harvest Dates: Last Week of October, always harvested manually with small crates.
Vinification Information: The Aglianico is destemmed and and crushed in small batches and then fermented in stainless steel with a maximum temperature controlled to 22-24 degree Celsius. Maloactic fermentation takes place with 100% new French oak barriques and matured for 12 months. The wine is fined in the bottle for an additional 6 months before being released to the market.
Wine Characteristics: Dark and intense ruby red with an ample and complex nose yielding ethereal spices, cherry, blackberry preserves, rosemary, tobacco and cinnamon with lights hints of vanilla. Dry on the palate and full bodied with firm tannins and a long finish. Although a young wine when released, it is destined for a great future!
