About Iatesta Imports

Is located in the town of Veglie to the far south of Apulia (Puglia). Where the terrain consists of a flat peninsula, the climate is quite hot yet mediated by breezes that blow in from the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The traditional wines of this area are the powerful inky reds made from Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera but Apulia boast the largest array of varietals in the south.

Refinement: Macderation for 8-10 days in concrete and glass tanks. Refined in bottle for at least 5 months.

Tasting notes: Intense ruby red colored. A wide, harmonic and well structure with notes of spices and toasted. Easy drink ability. Excellent with red meats, roasted and grill. Meat sauce and mature cheese.

VINIFICATION: MACERATION FOR 10-12 DAYS IN STAINLESS STEEL TANK

COLOUR: INTENSE RED COLOUR

BOUQUET: COMPLEX SENSATIONS LIKE VANILLA, SPICES AND LICORICE.

TASTE: WIDE, RICH AND HARMONIC. WELL BALANCED AND PERSIST ANCE. GOOD STRUCTURE.

ALCOHOLIC STRENGTH: 13.5% BY VOLUME

MATURING IN BARRELS: 12 MONTHS IN FRENCH BARRIQUES

REFINING IN BOTTLES: AT LEAST 6 MONTHS

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: OPEN BOTTLE AN HOUR BEFORE

Maturing in barrels: 24 months in french barriques

Refining in bottles: 12 months in horizontal position

Serving suggestions: Open bottle an hour before drinking, excellent with red meats, roast and grill, pasta dishes and mature cheese.
